On the table are new albums from Hot Chip off-shoot About Group, as well as the new solo album from Animal Collective's Panda Bear and the new batch from Steve Earle on this episode of Musicheads.

Ooh...I love this question! I can't pick just one though. It depends on the type of rainstorm and the mood I'm in. If it's a pretty steady, gloomy rainy day, then I would go with "Dry the Rain" by the Beta Band. If I can only pick one rainy day song, I'd have to go with this one. But I also love the song "I Love the Rain" by the Real Tuesday Weld. This is a good one for me if I'm in a blissful, happy mood and I'm enjoying a nice rainy day. But I can't forget "Buckets of Rain" by Mr. Dylan. The last time it rained I listened to Neko Case's gorgeous cover and it was just the perfect rainy day song!

I like that one too "I love the rain" by Real Tuesday Weld. That song makes me feel good when I strap no a good pair of cheap rain boots and go romping in the rain! Everyone should buy cheap rain boots!

Led Zeppelin's "The Rain Song" for that nostalgic feel or Willie Nelson's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain."

there is nothing like a good rain song! There are so many!

Another one I really dig is, "Walking in the Rain" by the Ronettes!

I have two favorites: "New Life" by O+S (O+S) and "Jltf" by Moby (Wait For Me). Both songs open with a mention of being indoors and hearing the sound of the rain, and both evoke the type of wistful, introspective mood that I often find myself in on a rainy day.

Two favorite songs to listen to when it is raining are Bob Dylan's "Shelter from the Storm" and Cloud Cult's "When Water Comes to Life".

Rainy Day Dream Away....Jimi Hendrix (even though I think it's really a pot song).... I love the whole feel...so relaxed...great saxaphone...
